Tetra Emergency Services radio network performance
Tests required the simulation of a regional Emergency Network with traffic levels equivalent to a major civil emergency.
Key features of the test setup were:
- Traffic equivalent to 2/3 utilisation of entire network
- Simulation of 80000 mobile handsets
- 80 physical mobile handsets
- Some physical base stations plus 53 simulated mobile radio base stations
- simulation of many telephone connections
- percentile measurements of key call criteria requiring repeated controlled tests over long durations
